Rehabilitation Plan
Participants
Congress enacted the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA) to strengthen defined benefit plans such as the National Pension Fund. In 2008 and 2009, NPF’s actuary certified that the NPF’s funded status is Critical. PPA required the NPF Trustees to adopt a Rehabilitation Plan to improve NPFs funded status over a 13-year rehabilitation period. The Rehabilitation Plan currently consists of two schedules: the Default Schedule and the Alternative Schedule which makes changes to benefits and adjusts contributions.
Please note that the information found here is for illustration purposes only and will be subject to the actual provisions or the Plan Document, the Rehabilitation Plan, its Schedules and the PPA, as amended.
