The Fund operates under the direction of a Board of Trustees, consisting of eight Trustees, four appointed by the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association and four by the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association. Michael J. Sullivan
Chairman, Board of Trustees
Michael J. Sullivan, a second generation Sheet Metal Worker, served as General President of the Sheet Metal Workers’ International Association from March 1, 1999 through his retirement on July 1, 2011. Upon his retirement, the International Association’s General Executive Council appointed Mike to be General President Emeritus. In addition, Mike continues to serve as a Trustee of the Sheet Metal Workers’ National Pension Fund.
Ron Palmerick
Co-Chair and Management Trustee
Ron Palmerick is a third-generation sheet metal worker and accountant. Ron is a recent past president of SMACNA and has served on the SMACNA Board of Directors from 1993 to 1997.
Paul Collins
Labor Trustee
Brother Collins began his apprenticeship in 1973 in Local 137, New York & New Jersey and was a member of the Executive Board for 5 years before appointed Recording Secretary in 1986.
Bruce Stockwell
Management Trustee
Bruce J. Stockwell is a partner and vice-president of U.S. Sheet Metal, Inc., since 1972. He served an apprenticeship at Local 7 beginning 1958.
Ken Greiner
Labor Trustee
Brother Greiner began his apprenticeship in 1973 in Local 12, Pittsburgh, PA. In July 1985, he was elected Local Union Trustee and served three terms.
Phil Meyers
Management Trustee
Phil Meyers, president of Bright Sheet Metal in Indianapolis, Indiana was formerly a National SMACNA President, who served from 2000 to 2001 and a member of the National Board of Directors from 1994 to 1997.
Joseph Sellers, Jr.
Labor Trustee
Joseph Sellers, Jr. started his apprenticeship in 1980 and became a journeyman four years later.
Thomas Szymczak
Management Trustee
Thomas Szymczak started his sheet metal career as an apprentice in the mid 1970’s.
